For over 10 years they worked separately – Dean in the make-up industry managing counters for Napoleon Perdis and MAC Cosmetics, as well as teaching a Diploma in make-up services at a local academy, while Mitch had his own hairdressing business for 5 years. In 2017 they combined their passions and ‘The Boys Studio’ was born.

Chatting with Nikolai Topor-Stanley about soccer
Canberra-born Nikolai Topor-Stanley started his Hyundai A-League career with Sydney FC in the 2006/2007 season, before stints with Perth Glory, Western Sydney Wanderers and two stints at the Newcastle Jets – his current club - either side of a brief time in the UAE at Hatta Sports Club. He’s played four times for the Socceroos, as well as captaining the Wanderers side that won the AFC Champions League in 2014. With over 300+ appearances in the A-League he’s one of the all-time legends of the competition.

Lachie made his first cricket bat at 14 years old after watching a tutorial on YouTube. It led him to start his own business making cricket bats until he was poached by Kookaburra to be their chief bat maker. Lachie now personally makes the bats for some of Australia’s be cricketers including Marnus Labuschagne, Glen Maxwell and Alyssa Healey.

Renae Ingles is an Australian netballer with a career spanning from 2003 – 2019. In that time Renae has been Australian Netball World Champion, a Commonwealth Games Gold Medallist, she’s won the Liz Ellis Diamond of the year - for the best Australian international netballer and also won two national netball championships – one with the Melbourne Vixens, and another with the Adelaide Thunderbirds. In 2015 Renae married Australian basketballer Joe Ingles, who currently plays for the Utah Jazz in the NBA, and in 2016 Renae gave birth to twins – Jacob and Milla. Renae also hosts her own podcast with her husband Joe called ‘Ingles Insight'.

Alanna Kennedy is an Australian soccer player who has made over 180 combined appearances in the W-League here in Australia and the National Women’s Soccer League in America ... as well as 87 appearances for the Matildas. Alanna is only 25 years old and during the 2017/18 season was named in the W-League’s Team of the Decade at only 23 years of age. With the recent announcement of the 2023 Women’s Soccer World Cup to be hosted in Australia and New Zealand, it’s the perfect chance to chat to Alanna about women’s soccer in Australia.
