About the podcast:

Phoebe Robinson is tired of being the token black woman in an ocean of white dude comedians. So in this podcast, Phoebe’s calling the shots. She hosts intimate, funny and super honest conversations with musicians, actors, writers and comedians who are killing it in their fields—AND who aren’t white dudes! Stay tuned for the one token white guy (it’s only fair), cameos by Phoebe’s ball-busting executive producer Ilana Glazer, and a whole lot of hijinks.

Last Call At Night Cheers
Wahhhh but also ACK! We are leaving you with some wonderful night calls from our wonderful listeners. But of course there is also a call about how The Big Chill and Cathy comics are connected, some rhapsodizing about monoliths (new and old), and a decision on what show is better: Frasier or Cheers. Some sentimental night calls to send us out, our favorite episodes and guests, reminiscing about Girls In Hoodies, and where we’d send our listeners to help fill the void. We promise we’ll be back someday on some astral plane. So long for now. Dr. Courtney Tracy | The Truth Doctor
Shameless Self Care
In this episode, Dr. Courtney Tracy discusses a topic known as Shameless Self-Care. She was reflecting on this year and everything that we may have gone through collectively and individually, and perhaps familially, and wondered about how you were all taking care of yourself and if there was any shame connected to the fact that you were, or that you weren’t.    If you’ve been feeling shameful because taking care of yourself has been hard this year, this episode may help you. If you’ve been feeling shameful because this year has finally taught you HOW to take care of yourself and others are upset about it, this episode may help you. If you want to learn more about shame itself and how Dr. Tracy feels it’s related to the concept and action of self-care, then this episode is for you!    We hope you enjoy this episode!   Please contact your emergency line if you are feeling lost or hopeless. Paul Bettany
Given his wide array of screen roles, it makes sense that Paul Bettany would approach each character with dramatically different processes. By zeroing in on the tricks of the trade that always help, and the techniques he’s picked up over a decades-long career, Paul provides “In the Envelope” listeners several key takeaways. For example: actors should determine what they can and cannot control, whether that’s on set or in the audition room. “The thing that I could control and could promise to be,” he says, “is the most prepared person walking in.” Born in England and trained at the Drama Centre London, Paul worked onstage for years before Brian Helgeland helped launch his Hollywood career. Breaking out first in the U.K. in “Gangster No. 1” and then the U.S. in “A Knight’s Tale,” Paul has transformed himself again and again, in films like “A Beautiful Mind,” “Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World,” “Dogville,” “Wimbledon,” “The Da Vinci Code,” and “Solo: A Star Wars Story.” He plays Frank, a gay man returning to his conservative family, in Alan Ball’s Amazon Studios feature “Uncle Frank,” and leads the new Disney+ Marvel series “WandaVision,” reprising his role as Vision from the “Avengers” movies.
