Cattitude - Episode 118 PETA Warns of Cat Overpopulation Crisis and Offers Solutions
Play • 21 min
Most people love their dogs, yet it is estimated that more than 6 million cats and dogs enter U.S. shelters every year. That staggering statistic isn’t likely to change until we stop these animals from producing more litters than there are home to go around, when other, equally wonderful cats are already here, in shelters, hoping someone will take them home.

Lisa Lange, senior vice president of communications for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) will discuss the importance of addressing the pressing overpopulation crisis and share what steps can be taken to improve the quality of life for the animals who improve ours.

Sex Work w/ Irene Merrow - Ep. 167
According to Irene Merrow (Betches, Vice), sex work is a lot like comedy. And as someone who performs both, she would know! Learn all about the struggle of being a sex worker during a pandemic and the reality of trying to earn a living on OnlyFans. We also talk about the misguided policies that put sex workers out of work and in danger's way. Plus, you'll learn about Melody's new career ambitions that she shares for the first time. Will she join the ranks of funny queer ladies with a NSFW camera roll? Before we get to the sexy stuff, we gush about the new Netflix series featuring the most dykonic New Yorker that we can't get enough of. And, Carolyn checks in with Melody to make sure she doesn't risk getting red-pilled. Finally, we end with a listener question that might spawn ten related listener questions. But we read it anyway because we love our U-Haulers and want you to get out of your heads and into your beds. -Get extra content, Ad Free episodes, support the pod, and get to know other listeners by joining our Patreon community.
